Al Fresco Mural, Villa Mannino, Bordentown, N.J.

Villa Mannino has a beautiful al fresco mural painted on the inside of their restaurant. They were looking for a way to add more interest inside their building and create a certain sense of ambiance. They hired Morris Docktor to paint an Italian countryside. You won't find this work done just in the main eating area, but around corners, near the kitchen and down hallways. The owners supplied Morris with a composite of photos from the Tuscan, Sicilian and Northern areas of Italy. It is very rustic and comfortable, with warm, Tuscan colors flowing through the restaurant. It took the artist only about one week to complete the work, and it takes the restaurant to another level.
